Cocktails immediately followed the ceremony and were served from 12:00pm
to 1:00pm. The reception began at
1:00pm in Crest Hollow's Plaza room. Music during the reception
was supplied by emcee Robyn Blue of
Raffa Entertainment.
The
Plaza room was beautifully decorated in the couple’s color choice of red and
white. The swan centerpieces filled with red roses sat on the long white
tablecloth and was surrounded by little bear favors, matchbooks and red
cocktail napkins. The ceiling was ornamented in tulle with mini-lights and
the sun shining in to the reception hall through the balcony windows lit up
the Plaza room.
After
being introduced to their guests as Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey and Nancy Greenberg,
the newlywed couple danced to their song, “Shameless” (words and music by
Billy Joel) performed by Garth Brooks.
During
the reception, the couple was lifted on chairs to begin the Hora. Carolyn
and Lisa gave wonderful toasts and the show-stopper was left for Adam to
embarrass his little brother by concluding the toasts by bringing out props,
and turning Jeff’s face as red as the clown nose he was wearing!
The
traditional father-daughter dance between Nancy and her dad was to The
Temptations, “My Girl”. Jeff joined in mid-song to dance with new his
mother-in-law.
Nancy
was also brought to the dance floor by her new brother-in-law Adam. Jeff
and Adam shared a nice dance as Robyn Blue belted out the Etta James’
classic, “At Last.”, since Nancy was no where to be found. Adam, Lisa and
Jeff serenaded Carolyn by singing, “Sweet Caroline” and Nancy’s parents were
introduced onto the dance floor as celebrating their 33rd wedding
anniversary to their song, “We’ve Only Just Begun.”
The
bouquet was caught by Leah Seiden and the garter by Larry Fleisher. Larry
put the garter on Leah in record time - about 2 seconds!
Jeff
and Nancy’s wedding cake was stacked 4 layers high. Beautifully decorated
with fresh red roses, their cake was made of yellow cake with chocolate
mousse filling and white vanilla icing. The couple cut their wedding cake
with the cake knife and server they had engraved with their names and
wedding date.
The
Last Dance of the evening was “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley
& Jennifer Warnes, from the movie Dirty Dancing.
After
a wonderful reception, while Jeff and Nancy were getting ready to leave,
they were surprised by Adam, Jack, Matt and Jorge as “Just Married” was
written on the rear window of their car in shaving cream!
The newlywed couple spent their wedding night in the Bridal Suite of the Fox
Hollow Inn.
