Nancy and Jeff met in September of 1998,
through mutual friends at Queensborough Community College, where they were both
attending classes. They instantly became friends, and were known to
"argue" over what hockey team was superior - the New York Rangers or the
Philadelphia Flyers. The couple began dating on November 24, 1998.
On November 23, 2002, the day before their 4-year anniversary, Jeff took Nancy
to see the hit Broadway musical
Movin' Out. After the show, on the
way to dinner (at the
Olive Garden), as they walked through Times Square, Jeff stopped Nancy to admire
how "magical" Times Square is. As Nancy began looking around at the
buildings, Jeff hugged her, saying that he loved her. Jeff then got down
on one knee and said "Nancy, I love you, will you marry me?" Nancy
immediately said yes.
Nancy and Jeff made their first home in Kew Gardens Hills,
NY. In late December 2004 the couple along
with their two cats
Smokey and
Tiger moved from Kew Gardens Hills to Fresh Meadows, NY (see
the pictures of the new apartment).
Nancy is currently
working as a Group Sales Administrator for
Forest Hills Group Services, a Guardian Life Insurance agency, in Rego
Park, NY. Jeff is the Network Administrator at
the law office of
Torre, Lentz, Gamell, Gary & Rittmaster, LLP
in
Jericho, NY.
